Speech for a 9 years old

Hello my son will be 9 after 2 month. He was diagnosed 2 years ago with mild intellectual disability . He have speech delay and delay academically. We took him to speech therapist since he was four but struggles to find good therapist for him . Last year he was admitted to a center that helped him with his speech and he got really better . My question is : are we still late for speech therapy for him? Hes a boy thats doesnt forget with strong memory. Im really worried
