Regains speech 8 years after a stroke

My boyfriend had a stroke in 2008 and lost his speech. He did see a therapist for awhile but his deductible kept increasing so he quit going.

He can make sounds now but that is all. If he tries again what chance do you think he has of regaining his speech?
