Memory skills for teenagers.

Hi.

I would be grateful for ideas! I have several students on my caseload (they all have some degree of hearing loss but this problem is not, I think, deafness related) who have poor memory.

Typically retaining little basic detail from a text, or an instruction or chunk of teaching. They rely heavily on visuals for learning. There are in some cases elements of a language disorder.

What should I be doing to improve their memories? The resources I have found (through the splendid TpT) tend to be for younger kids.

Thank you.
