lisp and tongue twisting on "s" sound for a 6 yr old

Hi,

My first grade son is almost 6 and has a lisp and his "s" and "sh" sounds are muddled. I think because he twists his tongue over while he says those sounds. Will this correct itself or is it time to send him to speech?
