Does Swearing Help Stuttering?

In the King's Speech, swearing increases fluency for the main character.

Does swearing actually help stuttering? Or, being related to much emotion (mainly, anger), would it worsen fluency?

Anything that interupts stuttering can help, particularly if said with emphasis, which is a key aspect of swearing. Other terms could be substituted to tame down the expressions, like

Judas Priest!

Fiddlesticks!

Son of a witch!
