4 year old speech development

Hello, I have a 4 year old who is meeting most speech and language milestones but he will sometimes respond with a noise instead of words. The noise is hard to describe but I would say it is a long grunting sound on exhalation. It is often used as a happy response e.g “are you having fun on the swing” then response will be the noise.
Does this have a name or does anybody recognise this as something familiar to them? Thank you!
