I'm almost 21, and have just recently moved out of my parents' neglectful household.
I always have had communication issues, but usually with being unable to speak at all, and never for very long.
Since I moved, I've been having increasing episodes of extreme stuttering, to where I can't even get two or three words out. It only happens when I get anxious.
The stutter causes me to get more anxious, and of course this leads to a perpetuation of the stutter and even panic attacks.
I do have a history of anxiety, depression, panic attacks, and blah blah blah. It's a laundry list, trust me.
I was wondering if I should be concerned, and if it's worth bringing up to my therapist with the possibility of seeing a speech therapist before this new occurrence becomes a habit.
Thank you.
